Welcome to the Laughlin Township Constable’s Office
Jordan Ross, Constable

My staff and I are here to serve the public with efficiency, honesty and integrity. Most of your questions should be answered in the links to the left here in this website, but don’t hesitate to contact us if we may be of assistance.

WHAT IS A CONSTABLE?

Nevada constables are civil enforcement officers. The Laughlin Constable’s Office serves all justice courts and both the state and federal district courts throughout all of Clark County. The work of each Constable's office is divided into two primary kinds:

Civil Process

We provide service of civil process including letters of demand, summons and complaints, legal petitions, civil subpoenas, public notices, eviction notices, or any other process in civil cases.

Civil Enforcement

We enforce court orders including wage and bank garnishments, writs of execution, attachment and possession, orders in aid of execution, eviction orders, civil bench warrants, cash keepers, till taps and other property seizures and conduct public auctions of both real and personal property.

In the rare instances that we make arrests, prisoners are remanded to the custody of the county sheriff.

Constable’s and their deputies are officers of the courts whose orders they enforce, including justice courts and state and federal district courts. Our jurisdiction, with certain specific exceptions, extends to all counties in the State of Nevada.
